I love cooking. At the weekend, I always cook something special for my family. It is one of my favourite activities.
On Saturday morning, I go to the market and buy fresh vegetables, meat, and pasta. I like to choose everything carefully. I always smell the tomatoes before I buy them.
My favourite recipe is pasta with tomato sauce. It is simple but delicious. First, I cut an onion and cook it in olive oil. Then I add the tomatoes and a little salt. I let everything cook slowly for twenty minutes. The smell is wonderful.
While the sauce is cooking, I boil the pasta. I use a big pot of salted water. When the pasta is ready, I mix it with the sauce and add some fresh basil on top.
My family always says my pasta is the best. My daughter helps me in the kitchen. She likes to stir the sauce and count the minutes. My son always eats two plates.
Cooking is not difficult if you use good ingredients and take your time. The most important thing is to enjoy it.
