I borrowed a book from the library three weeks ago. It was a story about a girl who discovers she has the ability to speak to animals.
At first, I was not sure I would like it. The cover was not very exciting. But my teacher recommended it, so I gave it a chance.
By the end of the first chapter, I was completely absorbed. The writing was vivid and funny. The main character, a girl called Rosa, was clever and brave.
I read it in four days. I stayed up late twice because I could not stop.
The story ends with Rosa saving a group of endangered birds from a developer who wants to destroy their habitat. It was exciting and also made me think about the environment.
I have recommended it to three friends. Two of them have already started reading it.
This is one of the best books I have ever read.
